What Are Silicone Wristbands?
Silicone wristbands (also called rubber bracelets or silicone bracelets) are flexible, rubber-like bands worn around the wrist. Made from high-quality silicone, they're durable, comfortable, waterproof, and available in virtually any color. They've also outlasted every other trend from the mid-2000s, which is more than we can say for most things. They became iconic through the Livestrong campaign and have since become a standard tool for fundraising, awareness campaigns, sports events, and promotional giveaways worldwide.
Types of Silicone Wristbands
Debossed Wristbands
The most common style. Text or a logo is pressed into the silicone, creating a recessed design in the same color as the band. Clean, professional, and the most durable format — the design can't scratch off because it's part of the material itself.
Embossed Wristbands
The opposite of debossed — the design raises above the surface. Creates a three-dimensional, tactile look. Slightly more premium-looking than debossed, particularly at larger text sizes.
Ink-Filled (Color-Filled) Wristbands
Debossed and then filled with a contrasting ink color in the recessed area. High contrast and excellent readability — your message or logo stands out clearly against the band color. Popular for awareness campaigns where the text needs to be prominent.
Printed (Silk-Screen) Wristbands
Artwork or text is printed directly on the surface of a flat silicone band. Allows for full-color, detailed designs including photographs and gradients. The limitation is durability — surface printing can wear with extended use.
Segmented and Swirled Wristbands
Made with multiple colors in the same band — alternating segments or swirled together during production. Popular for team colors, events with strong visual branding, or whenever a solid-color band isn't distinctive enough.

What Silicone Wristbands Are NOT For
Silicone wristbands are not designed for event access control. They have no tamper-evident closure and can be removed and handed to someone else easily. For events where credential security matters, use Tyvek, plastic, or cloth wristbands instead.
Sizing
Standard adult silicone wristbands measure approximately 8 inches (202mm) in circumference. Youth sizes are typically around 7 inches. When ordering for a mixed audience, adult sizing works for the majority.
