Woven wristbands with barrel locks

Woven fabric wristbands are the premium end of event credentials. Instead of printing on a surface, the design is woven into polyester thread, so it does not scratch, fade or rub off. Paired with a barrel lock slider, you get a band that cannot be transferred between guests and does not need replacing halfway through a multi-day event.

They also get kept. A woven band from a good festival stays on someone's wrist or pinned to a board long after the event — which is free brand exposure a paper band never gives you.

Quick version: one day and you want it cheap, buy Tyvek. Several days or anywhere near water, buy plastic or vinyl. A festival where the band is part of the experience and people keep it afterwards, buy woven cloth. Cashless payments or scanned entry, you want RFID.

Woven and fabric wristband FAQs

What is the difference between woven and dye-sublimated fabric wristbands?

Woven means the artwork is made from colored threads, up to eight colors, with a textured premium feel. Dye-sublimation prints artwork onto the fabric, which allows full-color images, gradients and photographs that weaving cannot reproduce. Woven looks and feels more expensive; dye-sub gives you unlimited color. Both use the same locking sliders.

What is a barrel lock on a wristband?

A small one-way slider that grips the band once tightened. It cannot be loosened or slipped off, so the wristband has to be cut to remove it. That is what makes fabric bands viable for access control rather than just decoration.

Are fabric wristbands waterproof?

Yes. Polyester does not absorb water, weaken or run. They are made to be worn through rain, showers and swimming for days at a time.

Can I get RFID in a cloth wristband?

Yes — either with the chip sewn into the band itself, or as a smart tag attached to it. We work with Mifare 14443A EV1, Mifare Classic 1k, ICODE SLIX and F08 chips for cashless payment, scanned entry and re-entry tracking. Call for a quote.

How long do custom woven wristbands take?

10–15 business days for production depending on order size, plus shipping. If you need bands sooner, our in-stock designs ship the same day.
