Which wristband material should I choose?

The honest answer is: how long does it need to stay on, and does it need to survive water? Everything else follows from that.

Quick version: one day and you want it cheap, buy Tyvek. Several days or anywhere near water, buy plastic or vinyl. A festival where the band is part of the experience and people keep it afterwards, buy woven cloth. Cashless payments or scanned entry, you want RFID.

How many wristbands do I need?

Order for peak attendance, not total attendance, and add a margin for waste. Staff put bands on wrong, guests snap them, and a few always end up in a bin. A 10% buffer on a Tyvek order costs a few dollars. Running out at the gate costs you the door.

Which wristband is hardest to counterfeit or transfer?

Woven cloth with a barrel lock is the toughest to defeat — the lock is one-way and the band has to be cut to come off. Holographic plastic is the best deterrent at a glance, because the metallic finish is hard to reproduce and easy for staff to verify in a dark venue. Tyvek is the weakest of the three, though the security die-cuts mean it tears if someone tries to peel and re-stick it.

Can event wristbands get wet?

All of them, yes. Tyvek is synthetic paper with a waterproof adhesive, so it survives rain and pools. Plastic, vinyl and holographic are fully waterproof. Woven cloth is polyester and is designed to be worn through showers for days.

How do I use wristbands for age verification?

Pick two clearly different colors — one for over 21, one for under — and keep the same colors all night so bar staff do not have to think. Neon shades read fastest in low light. Do not reuse the same color combination on consecutive nights of a multi-day event.

Can I get my logo printed on these?

Yes, on every material we carry. Custom printing runs 10–15 business days plus shipping, so plan ahead. If your event is sooner than that, our in-stock designs ship the same day.

What is the cheapest wristband for a one-day event?

Tyvek, at $24.50 per 500 — about five cents a guest. Nothing else comes close for single-day access control.

Do you offer numbering, barcodes or RFID?
